Templates

Website templates are a premade webpage or set of webpages. Templates can be customized with text and media. A website template helps maintain a consistent look and feel across all University websites.

Illinois State has two template styles: version 2 (v2) and version 3 (v3). These templates are used for department websites. A version 4 (v4) template is planned for a future template.

v2 Template

The v2 template is being decommissioned. Websites on the v2 template will be updated to v3.

v3 Template

The v3 template is the most common template currently live on Illinois State University websites. This template includes the v3 iGuide across the top of the screen, a red banner with the department logo on the left, and a search box on the right.
